On Monday, August 31, Leaders will complete the Compass Card Refresh, upgrading your business debit card. You'll receive a new debit card with an updated design and card number that has enhanced card management features.

What should I expect?

The Compass Card Refresh is bringing debit Mastercards to Leaders business members. While you'll receive a new card design and card number, most aspects of your account will remain the same. 

 

Your new business debit will be mailed on August 31. Continue using your current debit card until it arrives.
Activate your new debit anytime between August 24 and September 30.
All card management features will move from the Leaders Card Controls App into the primary Leaders CU App. Only one app for all accounts.

How should I prepare?

A few simple steps before August 31 will help ensure a smooth transition to your new debit Mastercard. 

 

  • Continue using your current debit card until August 31.
  • Plan to activate your new debit Mastercard and add it to your digital wallet when you receive it.
  • Make note of any subscriptions or recurring payments tied to your current card.
  • You will have until September 30 to activate your new card.

What is changing?

The Compass Card Refresh includes several enhancements designed to simplify card management and improve your overall experience. 


  • You'll receive a new business debit Mastercard with a new card number, expiration date, and security code
  • All authorized users will receive new cards with unique card numbers
  • Recurring payments and digital wallets will need to be updated with your new card information
  • The Leaders Card Controls App will be retired, and all card management features will move into the Leaders CU App

We're refreshing our business debit cards with an updated design and card number. This allows us to provide enhanced features, improved security, and an updated experience while continuing to deliver the service you expect.

Your current debit card will be deactivated on September 30. You may activate and begin using your new business debit Mastercard on Monday, August 31.

Receiving & Activating your New Card

Your new business debit Mastercard will be mailed on Monday, August 31. Please allow 7–10 days for delivery. Once received, you can activate and start using your new card. Please verify that your mailing address is up to date to ensure timely delivery.

 

When you receive your new business debit Mastercard it is ready to be activated. You should activate your new card anytime before September 30. Once activated, your new card is ready to use!

Once you receive and activate your new business debit card securely destroy your current debit card by dropping it off in branch to be securely disposed of or by cutting through the chip and card number.

 

You may activate your new business debit Mastercard by calling the activation number provided on the sticker attached to your card and following the prompts. Once activated, your card will be ready to use immediately. Don’t forget to add your new credit Mastercard to your digital wallet.

 

 

 

Your current debit card will be deactivated on October 1. To avoid interruptions, activate your new business debit Mastercard by September 30.

If you have not received your replacement card by Monday, September 14, please contact us immediately. Call us at 731-664-1784, email support@leaderscu.com, or visit a Leaders branch near you to speak with a Financial Champion who can help.

Each eligible business debit card will receive its own replacement. If you have an existing consumer debit card, that card will continue to work without interruption.

Card Numbers and Digital Wallets

Yes. Your new business debit Mastercard will have a new card number, expiration date, and security code (CVV). Any authorized users who currently have a debit card linked to your business account will also be given a new debit card number.

 

As part of the refresh, the Card Controls App is being retired and all card management features will be available within the Leaders CU App beginning Monday, August 24.

 

Yes. Any merchant, app, or subscription service that stores your debit card information will need to be updated with your new business debit Mastercard information.

 

Examples include:

  • Amazon
  • Utility providers
  • Insurance companies
  • Streaming services
  • Online retailers
  • And more…

Yes. After you have activated your new business debit Mastercard, you will need to remove your old debit card and add your new card information to any digital wallets you use.

Yes. Your new business debit Mastercard will support contactless tap-to-pay transactions.

Rewards

Yes. Existing rewards points will automatically transfer to your new credit Mastercard account. Points may take several business days to appear following the refresh.

 

To complete the refresh to our new credit Mastercards, rewards earning will be temporarily unavailable on Friday, August 21 through 8:00 am on Monday, August 24. Purchases made during this time will not earn rewards points. Your ability to make purchases with your credit card will not be affected during this time. Only rewards earning will be temporarily unavailable.

No. The rewards platform will be temporarily unavailable from Friday, August 21 through Sunday, August 23 while we complete the Compass Card Refresh. Rewards redemption is expected to resume on Monday, August 24.

 

As part of this refresh, expiration of all rewards points will be reset for an additional five years from September, giving you more time to redeem your rewards.

Nothing is being taken away, but as part of the Compass Card Refresh, we're adding new and exciting ways to redeem rewards. We'll share more details soon.

Mobile App

On Monday, August 24, you'll be able to manage both your credit Mastercard and Leaders debit card all within the Leaders CU App. The Leaders Card Controls App will be retired, bringing your card controls and everyday banking tools together in one convenient app. Download the Leaders CU App now!

Credit Cards

Yes, if you have a current Leaders Business Visa credit card, you will receive a new credit Mastercard as part of the refresh.
